Polymetal is pleased to announce the payment of the coupon yield on the 6th coupon and the retirement of the ruble denominated three year maturity bonds
On March 21st, NOMOS-BANK (JSC), acting as the Payment Agent for Polymetal"s RUR 750 mln. ($US 27 mln.) bond issue, paid a coupon yield to 750,000 bondholders.
The coupon yield was calculated on a per bond basis of RUR 84.77 per one bond of RUR 1,000 par value. The annual coupon rate on the 6th semi-annual coupon was 17%. The total sum of the coupon payment was RUR 63,577 mln. ($US 2.3 mln.).
On the date of 6th coupon yield payment, Polymetal completed the retirement of bonds at par value (RUR 750 mln.). The total amount of payments was RUR 813,577 mln. ($US 29.4 mln).
Polymetal"s bond issue has been included in MICEX "A" level quoted list since the beginning of 2005.
The bond issue was registered by the Federal Security Commission on March 5th, 2003 (state registration number 4-01-00412-D).
Commenting on today"s announcement Sergey Cherkashin, CFO said, "We do not plan any other bond issues in the nearest future. We intend to focus our energies on closely working with domestic and foreign financial institutions to optimize the company"s debt structure, in terms of decreasing cost and increasing terms of borrowings."
