Polymetal Engineering is pleased to announce the recent signing of an agreement to design plans to reconstruct the factory of Mikhailovsky GOK, a subsidiary of Metalinvest.

Polymetal Engineering (a Polymetal subsidiary) recently agreed to prepare reconstruction plans for Mikhailovsky GOK«s pelletizing plant located in Zhelezhnogorsk, Kursk Region.

In August 2006, Polymetal Engineering launched the project, which will design plans for reconstructing the plant and modernizing pelletizing equipment to increase the production capacity of roasting machines and decrease total energy consumption. When completed, not only will this reconstruction boost pellet quality, but it will also increase production to 9.8 mln. tpa, while at the same time cutting gas and electricity usage.
The multi-faceted project includes plans for reconstructing crude pelletizing and crude pellet loading unit, modernizing the technological zone and gas-air flow duct, roasting machines and automatic control and management system for the roasting process.
To maximize benefits for Mikhailovsky GOK, Polymetal Engineering plans to complete this design project in the nearest future.

This reconstruction and modernization design project represents the next step in continued cooperation between the two companies. At the end of 2005, Polymetal Engineering completed designing stage I of the flotation facility that will allow Mikhailovsky GOK to increase magnetite concentrate processing.
