Polymetal to Announce its US GAAP 2007 Financial Results on the Next Week

Saint-Petersburg, Russia, July 3, 2008 - JSC "Polymetal" (LSE, MICEX, RTS: PMTL) ("Polymetal" or the "Company") will release its audited US GAAP consolidated financial statements for the twelve months ended December 31, 2007, on or before Friday, July 11.
This technical delay is caused by the necessity to have a subsequent event - change of control that occurred in June 2008 - accurately and fully reflected in the financial statements.
In 2007, Polymetal appointed Deloitte and Touche as its US GAAP auditor; in 2002-2006, PricewaterhouseCoopers was the Company's auditor.
